A while ago Jakob Nielsen has posted a new Alertbox about Breadcrumb Navigation (again).
He pointed out the importance of breadcrumb navigation. On this point agree with him, altough I don’t always agree with his ideas about the web and : Breadcrumbs don’t hurt. So we should use them as much as we can, but don’t overuse or misplace them.
I know Nielsen doesn’t want to…:), but the web is changing, rapidly. Read the rest of this entry »

Some time ago at my work we asked ourselfs why there isn’t a service wich we can call to get the version number of the latest player available for download. Well today I found out there is!
http://fpdownload.macromed…xpress/version_win_ax.xml
This URL will return a XML with only the latest flash player version.

As followup to my previous post I used that to create an automatic shoutbox, in this example the words are hard coded in the swf but it’s easy to make it XML driven.
Check it out here: Shoutbox
As usual, if you want the code…drop me a line.

Some time ago I saw an experiment wich I don’t remember where it was. Anyway, I recreated it and resulted in a very fun and simple experiment. While the circles are placed random they avoid collision.
Here it is : Circles.
If you wan’t the source, drop me a line….
